5Very Good ValueDec 09, 2010
By Jace E. Mouse
Overall: VERY happy with the purchase! Excellent construction, large enough for three kids yet small enough to take in-doors for the winter.

Size: The actual size is basically true to the dimensions they list. Since the walls take up some space, the actual jumping area is about 7'x7' which is fairly generous, allowing a couple kids to bounce without hitting each other. More than two or three kids, and they're going to have to be careful not to knock heads. The slide doesn't protude into the jumping area, so that's not taking up too much space. The size of the slide is much bigger/better than I expected; big enough and high enough for kids to actually enjoy. The bounce floor is higher off the ground than I imagined, so (and this is probably a good thing) kids under two will need some help getting in.

Materials: After ordering this, I was kind of fearing it would be made of a weak fabric, resembling a tent. Boy, was I wrong! The materials are much better than I expected. The floor of the bouncer is basically the same material and strength as the commercial bouncers at carnivals (I'm guessing it's actually little weaker, given this is a residential unit, but it's definitely strong). Similar to commercial bouncers, the floor has a rubberized coating on it, which makes it more durable and easier to clean. The sides are a lighter fabric, but also heavier-duty than I expected -- about the thickness of a really great fireman's rain coat; the kind that work well but are too heavy to actually wear. The fan is well-made of heavy-duty plastic, with a long heavy-duty power cord (I don't know the gauge, but it's similar to a top-quality $50 extension cord) and a very well-made GFCI safety plug. The air grates on the fan are metal. The unit includes ground stakes. I'd say the quality of them is good, but not great. They should hold up for about 20 installations, and more if you're careful when hammering them into the ground. The quality of the included bag is rather poor -- weak fabric and handles, and a very weak zipper -- but it's easy enough to replace with a large duffel or storage bin.

Outstanding Build Quality: Like the materials, it seems to be well-made. Mine has one spot that is missing a couple stitches of thread. Ironically, I only noticed it because there was a piece of tape next to it. I think someone spotted it during quality inspection and flagged it for repair, but then it still got missed. At any rate, it's up high on one of the towers, so I don't think it's going to hurt anything.

Good Blower, not too Loud: Like I mentioned, the quality is very good. It easily inflates the unit in under two minutes, even if the tube isn't completely straight. It is quieter than I expected. I was expecting it to be a bit loud, similar to a shop vac or large vacuum, but it's about 25% less than that -- particularly when it's connected to the tube. No one is going to say it's quiet, but you can at least have a conversation without having to yell.

Decent Safety, but Supervision Required: The side entrance is a concern, because if a small kid lays down along that wall while others are jumping, they will eventually work the velcro loose (it's just two 1" pieces) and fall out. Wider velcro along the entire length of the opening would help, but I wish they would just include the option to lace it up entirely. The sides are prone to collapsing, so you have to counsel kids over 3 yrs not to lean too much while standing or (worse) pull the top of the "beams" down, especially indoors where walls or furniture are nearby. On the positive side, the basketball hoop is a break-away design (otherwise held together by a piece of velcro), the sides on the slide are sufficient to prevent toddlers from falling off it, and the walls are set-in enough that bouncing along them doesn't make the side of the bounce area collapse.

Easy Setup, Okay Take-Down: Setup couldn't be easier. Just spread it out, connect the tube and let it set itself up in under two minutes. Take down...not so much. They say the unit will deflate itself in about five minutes, but that's not been my experience, no matter how long I wait. I have to fold and lie on it to push the air out. It's about the same effort as a large tent. Once folded, it's easy to fit the tent and blower into the bag. The bag is just large enough to be forgiving so you don't have to put it in ONE right way.

Misc: My unit arrived quickly in a plain white box. The basketball hoop is basically a gimmick, since it's too low for older kids and there's insufficient backboard to prevent younger kids from throwing the ball outside the jumper. On my unit, the side door is to the left of the slide (as you slide down), not the right as the picture shows. The unit includes instructions that are laughably translated, but they get the job done. When taking down, please follow the instructions, including "Make sure all children exit bouncer", cause who wants to be the one to misplace a sleeping neighbor kid and pack them away in their garage??

5A Durable Well-Made BouncehouseNov 15, 2009
By J. Nolan
I have been looking to buy a bounce house for my daughter's second birthday. I had read the review on this bounce house and the other similar one by Bounceland. These houses are just superior! I was quite impress with how well made the house is. I had the house up for my daughter's birthday. We had five girls playing in it from age 18 months to age 8 at the same time. They played together for 6 hours nonstop in the bounce house. I actually had to drag my daughter out long enough to open presents, get cake and say goodbye to guests because all she wanted to do was play in the bounce house.

I now have it set up in the our family room over the winter. It fits just fine even with low ceilings. You need a room at least 16 feet to accommodate the air intake tube from the motor in addition to the house. The motor has an easy off and on. Occasionally my daughter will even go and turn it on and off by herself. I would suggest buying a giant rubbermaid container to keep the house and motor in. It works well that way. My daughter just goes to the closet and starts dragging the box out and I know she wants to play. In addition it is nice to have the slide. My daughter just loves going in and going down the slide or climbing up the slide. It is so easy to set up for parents and it inflates in about 90 mintues. I would highly recommend this product to anyone considering this purchase. I have not regretted it one bit.

4Kids love it, but plan on 10 minutes for tear-downMay 05, 2011
By Mom of 2 Girls "Emily H"
My girls (ages 2 and 6) absolutely LOVE their new "bouncy bouncy house". It comes out almost every clear day, and it's barely spring in New England.

Be sure to strap the air tube onto the blower *before* staking it into the ground (as the directions state).

The storage bag it comes with is a joke - I defy any human being to get that thing deflated enough to shove it back in there! (And yes, much to my neighbors' delight I'm sure, I have even attempted to lay atop the thing to get the remaining air out.)

So take my advice - get a 32 gallon plastic trash barrel. Save the bag to store the blower, extension cords, and ground stakes. Do your best to roll the bouncer up and force it into the barrel for storage in a garage or shed.

It seems safe, well secured, and as mentioned previously, my daughters can't get enough.

Set-up: about 5 minutes
Tear down: 2 minutes to naturally deflate, plus another 5-8 minutes of mildly frustrating stake-pulling and vinyl-rolling nonsense.

Bottom line: Totally worth the price. Did LOTS of up-front research before making this purchase.

5Pleased with this purchase!Jan 10, 2011
By Teresa Elmore
After taking the time to upload a brief video of my grandson on this item (23 seconds) which took 30 minutes to upload, I get the message it's "too large"...........geez, you need a better system Amazon!

After MUCH scrutiny over the numerous offerings for this category and their reviews, I thought this product would be the best buy for my money. Like most of you, I was concerned about price, size, noise and product performance. Pictures just don't do this item justice, I hope the short video I included is helpful to give you an idea about size and such... So far, I must say, our grandson loves the bounce house and it was the clear favorite as a gift.

IMHO...the size is perfect for three or so children to get in and have room to jump around and bounce. The slide is a step up from the play floor inside, but not difficult for kids to get onto, and the angle of the slide is perfect for a little fun without "crashing" at the bottom. As this was a Christmas gift, we easily set this up inside our downstairs 14 x 23 den. Originally we were planning on setting this up in our garage because of the cold weather, however, we decided not to do so after reading the instruction manual. The construct seems superior and I look forward to reporting back if any substandard issues arise. The final issue I wish to mention is that of the "noise" mentioned in previous reviews. I purchased this product understanding the blower would make some noise and that it seemed the majority perception of that noise would deem it LOUD. It is my experience/(perception) that the noise level is not bad at all. Neither during inflation, nor operation, did I think the noise level was an issue. I could easily watch and hear TV upstairs with the bounce unit in operation just a few few feet away downstairs.

To wit, at this point, I highly recommend this item....with two thumbs up!
