This boomerang really works!
If you throw it horizontally like a frisbee, it will fly in a U shape. it will fly straight up, and then fall back down in the same path it took.
If you throw this at the correct angle, it will fly like a typical boomerang.
Just be careful to use this only in a very big field. I've gotten mine stuck on top of very tall trees twice. The first time I was lucky enough to get it back eventually because someone found it on the ground one day and returned it to me. After that, I wrote my name and contact information on it. It is currently stuck on a tree outsideon the mall outside baker hall @ CMU. If anyone finds it, I would like it back =)

I took mine out to a park and in about 15 throws I had it generally coming back to me. The instructions say if you throw too high it will land to your left which happened quite a bit to me. I did have it almost hit me a few times when I got it just right. I think it's a blast. I'm 39 and always thought boomerangs looked neat but I didn't want anything wooden coming at me. This is very light with a soft rubber coating around the hard spine. If you are familiar with the Aerobie Pro flying rings you know they go extremely far on little effort. This does as well. You don't have to throw out your shoulder tomahawking it but give it some snap off your fingers to get the rotation started.

Clear throwing instructions.
I was able to make it come back within about an hour of practice.
Doesn't quite make it back from the throwing position, it generally lands about 10ft away.
Doesn't function to well in strong winds.

This is an excelent toy for the beach where you have on shore winds to judge where and how far to throw it and on the plus side it not the typical boomerang that will come back to hit you in the head. My grandkids have a blast with it.

These little toys are fairly durable, very lightweight, and truly will come back to you. We bought them for our camping trip this last Summer, and the kids played with them over and over.
They are bright colored, and although I didn't try it, the fluorescent green one may actually glow in the dark.
I am not a professional boomerang thrower and I'm not from Australia, but these came back to my close proximity with almost each throw. That sure means a lot to someone who doesn't like to go chase down his misthrows. :)
Like I said above, the kids truly liked them, and they are hard to please.
Great product, great price, very durable, and a great deal buying from Amazon Prime.
